As a beginner of Tableau, I have a question about the order of the mark type. When the sales is greater than the budget sales, e.g California, I can't see the tooltip when I hover over the 'reference line'. It only shows the tooltip for the sales. I tried switching the back and front order, but it doesn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks!! Reply ...
Jul 05, 2019 · This formula tells Tableau to only return the minimum sales amount once per Order ID so that if the value was summarized, Order ID 1000 would be counted as $3,020 not $9,060. Here it is in action: While there are alternative methods for dealing with duplicate records at the database level, this is the preferred method in Tableau Desktop.
Click on Sheet 1 (at the bottom, the tab to the right of "Data Source") to open up a worksheet and start creating your visualization. On the left you can see our variables listed. Tableau categorized the variables as either Dimensions or Measures, listing all the Dimensions first above the gray line, and then all the Measures below the gray line.

Note – the dashboard is built from 2 charts – one showing the bumps and lines, the other displaying the x-axis time-series. Keep these charts tiles so the axis is properly aligned with the bumps.
We are going to click on each region on our navigation, apply the filter for the sheet selector, and then drag the chart into the container. Click Central on the nav, drag your central chart into the container, and hide the title. In this case I have a quadrant chart. Now, go to the sheet for the central chart and apply the Set Sheet Swapper filter.
